I am looking to by a J.D. 4500 tractor with front loader and backhoe. Will get the 460 loader but am having a problem in selecting a hoe. Have looked at the JD 48 and the Woods 9000 hoes and the Woods hoe looks to be better made hoe. Does anyone have experience with the Woods 9000 hoe?

Hi Mike! I own a 855 and bought a woods 7500 3pt hitch with a pump.I bought it a year ago, did alot of work with it.No problems at all works great.paid $5,700 It's even painted green!! Hope this helps. JEFF. ....

My dealer told me that the sale of the JD 48 backhoes are still on hold. That they are still working on correcting a problem with the mounts. ....

Chris I ordered a 48 backhoe on 3-9-00 and it arrived at my dealer around 1&1/2 weeks later. I haven't take delivery of the tractor yet because the 430 loader is still in transit. Chad ....

Hi guys. The JD 48 hoe is only on hold for 45-4700 tractors. I was informed that the fix is out and the back ordered units should start shipping any day now. There was not a problem with the mounts for the smaller 4000 series tractors. That's why the last poster got his so quickly. ....
